Professor Pasi Fränti is on the advisory board of New York Institute and Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (NYILAI) in the United States. Professor Pasi received his Master and PhD degrees in Computer Science from University of Turku, Finland in 1991 and 1994 respectively. He has been tenure Professor in the University of Eastern Finland since 2000 where he is currently the leader of the machine learning group. Professor Fränti is IEEE Senior member and IAPR member, and one of most prolific authors in Finland with 96 papers in refereed journals and 174 papers in refereed conferences, which have gained over 7000 citations in google scholar. He has served duties for dozens of highly ranked journals, and worked as chair, co-chair and editor in organizations, conferences, and journals. His research interests include clustering algorithms, location-based services, machine learning, data mining, and optimization of health care services.
